MY STORY
THE ORIGIN
The truth is, people decide who we are before we even say a word. In less than seven seconds, they make assumptions about our confidence, credibility, and success. It’s not fair, but it’s reality.
I know what it feels like to be on the outside looking in. Growing up in South Africa, I lived in a trailer park for a portion of time and struggled with insecurity. I felt like I didn’t belong. My shark-like teeth, cystic acne, and my nickname for my ultra skinny legs, "Lucky Legs" because they were lucky they didn’t break, only added to my self-doubt.
I spent years wishing I could be someone else. That is, until I discovered something that changed everything: STYLE. Not just fashion. Not just trends. But the real psychological power of clothing. The ability to transform how others saw me and, more importantly, how I saw myself.
I earned a business degree, moved to Los Angeles, and pursued acting. In my two-year acting program, something remarkable happened. Every time I put on a costume which I developed for each character, I changed. My posture straightened. My voice grew stronger. I felt different and the world treated me differently in response. That’s when it hit me: clothes aren’t just fabric; they are identity. They can be a barrier that holds us back, or a superhero costume that empowers us to step into who we were always meant to be. I took that realization and built a business.

Two decades later, I am an expert in all things style and a master at helping people rise into who they’re truly meant to be.
Based in Los Angeles, I work with clients across the globe. For over 20 years I have had the experience of transforming the lives of men and women, famous and infamous, executives, authors, doctors and lawyers, moms and teens, philanthropists and entrepreneurs, through personal style.
I have had the honor of speaking at global organizations including the World Federation of United Nations Associations, NYU, FIT, TealHQ, Hogan Lovells Law Firm, and Bloomingdale’s, OCMA, Van Cleef & Arples. I am the founder of Recharge Your Style, co-founder of Our Career Lab, and creator of The Global Style Academy, where I mentor the next generation of personal stylists.
